EXPERT GROUP ON SERVICE TAX

The Government has constituted an Expert Group to review the levy of service tax. This Group is in the process of eliciting trade opinion regarding the scope of its work. Accordingly, a questionnaire is enclosed for your considered response.

2. The Expert Group has been given a very short time frame of 5 months for submitting its recommendations. Therefore, it is requested that your responses may reach the Expert Group on or before 31st August, 2000 at any of the following addresses –
